Tesco Diets Online Review

By admin • Feb 21st, 2008 • Category: Weight Loss Offers

Tesco Diets is a site that you sign up to and pay a fixed weekly fee. In exchange, you are provided with information on healthy eating, and dieting, and specific meal plans and shopping lists tailored to suit you. Each week on Tesco diests you weigh yourself in put in your new weight so that you can keep track on the site of how much weight you are losing, and how you are doing with your diet.

There are nutritionists and a motivational team whom you can talk to if you want advice or are finding things hard, and you can make friends with other dieters and share your successes using the facilities on site. There are is a chat room that’s open 24 hours a day on the site, and online meetings that you can attend at least once per week. There’s also support groups and you can set up your online circle of friends as well, so that you can share things with specific people that you meet.

The way the site is set up, if you are looking to lose weight, then you are set a goal weight that you are aiming for when you begin. This is calculated using the BMI index and will set a goal weight that’s in the healthy band for someone of your height and age etc. If that’s a goal that’s too far away it can however be adjusted to suit you as they are quite flexible. There are also alternatives that are not BMI based, and that target specific problems or worries such as gluten free, heart smart, low fat, low sugar, or diabetes. All of these can come with meal plans and also shopping lists so that you know exactly what to buy each week so that you can stick to your meal plan. Obviously the shopping lists are based on shopping at Tesco stores and rely on a lot of their own products. Certainly the idea of a specific shopping list is something that really isn’t tackled by any other diet sites that I know of, and is a very good idea if you really aren’t at all sure where to begin and want the extra guidance that this will offer you.

The site is well laid out, with lots of information on nutrition and healthy eating generally. There is a section which gives the credentials of the nutrition team so you know that the people you are talking to are qualified and know what they are talking about. There is a section on success stories, designed to help motivate you and to show you how well the different plans on the site have worked for other people. Another section gives information and articles about things like fitness, food and recipes and how to get motivated.

The cost per week is £2.99 and can be paid using Mastercard or Visa credit card, or Maestro, Visa Electron, Delta, Laser or Solo debit cards. You have to be over 18 yrs to join. If you hold a Tesco club card, you can get points back at a ratio of 1 point per £1 spent (the same as in stores). When you click to sign up, you fill in various details to show what sort of diet you are looking for, whether your goal is to lose a lot of weight or just a little, your height, weight, motivation for losing weight and a variety of other things besides. All this information will help them to help you as you go.
